So I love Lara bars/ Nakd bars…they are full of goodness!! I make then quite often, usually with almonds, pumpkins and dates (see original recipe here.)
But as I am trying to increase my Omega 3 intake I made a special pregnancy version
Walnut, Linseed/Flaxseed and Date Bars! (I’m going to try Chia seeds next batch as even better than Flaxseed I think?!)
Ingredients (makes 12) :
200g Dates (de-stoned)
Put walnuts in a blender until they are in very small pieces and add them to a bowl with the linseeds.
Then put the dates into a blender- try to get it into a paste….some lumps are fine! add honey if you need more of a paste!
Then mix everything together and form into little bars by hand
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
DATES, WALNUTS, LINSEED/FLAXSEED are SUPER GOOD for BABY and help to prevent STRETCH MARKS! They contain lots of Vitamin E and Omega 3!!!
